About Rwanda Gorilla Safaris in 5 minutes
Gorilla Tracking also called gorilla trekking ore hiking takes place daily- 365 days in
Volcanoes National Park.
Rwanda gorilla families or groups are divided into two. The study groups/ families which are accessible to scientists only and the
tourist groups or families which are open for tourist tracking.
Gorilla Safaris Rwanda -the facts
There are currently approximately 700 mountain
gorillas in the wild. Thus these animals are classified as endangered
species. If unchecked gorilla trekking can endanger the life of
gorillas.
Gorilla tracking
is a clean practice (eco friendly) which ensures minimal impact to the local
community, the environment and the gorillas.
Gorilla safaris rules and regulations have been put in place for the safety of the
trackers, the gorillas and to check adverse environmental impacts. Besides these
rules and regulations guarantees the continued existence of the gorilla as
species, that is to avoid the extinction of the gorillas.
Gorilla Safaris in Rwanda
are
restricted to 8 persons per day per group. That makes a total of 56

Gorilla Safaris is a daily event.
Each morning, participants meet with gorilla guide at Kinigi Park
headquarters for group allocation and briefing. The guides are
professionals with lots of information on their field of work- gorillas
in their natural habitats and will answer all questions regarding as
pertains mountain gorillas.
All participants are
will be served a complimentary cup of Rwanda Coffee before commencement
of the safari.

Rwanda gorilla families or groups are divided into two. The study

visiting Tanzania. Bahati did a great job organizing all
the legs of our trip and guiding us in the National Park.
We loved seeing the cave paintings in Kondoa. The roads
were extremely rough for a couple of days and took a little
longer than expected due to the construction of new roads.
