available at any time. All car rental rates include all relevant government
taxes. For car rental outside Arusha, it is recommended you have
a driver. However this is not mandatory.
Car Hire with
Driver/Chauffeur Driven Rental in Arusha Tanzania
We recommend car hire with drivers when you are
not familiar with the routes or Arusha city. When you cannot communicate in
local languages our National Language Kiswahili or official language English
or when you want to enjoy the scenery.
Car Hire to the Northern
Circuit- Lake Manyara/ Serengeti / Tarangire And Ngorongoro Conservation
Area. When in Arusha, a majority of our guests want to
visit the National Parks of Serengeti, Tarangire and Lake Manyara plus of
course Ngorongoro Conservation area. The question mostly asked is
whether to have a driver or not. The best answer to this
question is have a driver. Having a driver means you have a
guide or an interpreter. It also means you do not have to worry
about vehicle breakdowns. It gives you a chance to relax and enjoy
your stay. Our car hire company will provide with a certified driver
guide with lots of knowledge on the local people and circuit in general.
Self drive car
rental in
Arusha Tanzania
In Tanzania we keep left.
To drive you must have a valid driving license. For none
resident, you must have an international driving license. In addition
to this, Our agency requires that you be at least 23 Years of
age and must have your passport.
Deposit in case of damage to
the car:
A self drive car will attract a
refundable deposit of USD 500.00(Five hundred only) per vehicle as a sign of
good will. All our guests are expected to take care of the cars
otherwise in the event of any damage to the car, we will take the car to the
garage for examination and evaluation with the guest. If the damage is
beyond USD 500.00, the guest will be expected to add the difference. If the
damage is less than USD 500.00, we will pay the garage and give the
difference to the guest.
Please note that this deposit does not
apply to Chauffeur driven cars.
Insurance:
Our car hire or rental comes with
comprehensive insurance cover. However for super Collission, you require
extra insurance.
Highway requirements:
For car rental or hire in Tanzania,
like other countries the police checks can ruin your trip. To avoid
complications with the Tanzania police, make sure that the car rental
company or individual has the necessary papers for the car. These
include Current insurance certificate. Car Accessories -spare wheel,
jack, fire extinguisher, life saver triangle.
Pick up and drop off points:
Unless you are already within the
country, our rental include airport transfers. We pick you at
the airport and return you to the airport. Cars can also be dropped at
our Arusha office, or your hotel at the expiry of rental.
Weekly and monthly rental
These rentals are available on
request.

available at extra cost.
Getting to Arusha;
You can either drive or fly to
Arusha. Shuttle services exists between Nairobi and Aruhsa.
International Bus/ Shuttle services are offered by Akamba, Riverside Shuttle
and Scandinavian Bus.

International Airlines fly into
Kilimanjaro International Airpot (JRO) 48 Km East of Arusha. The
facilities at the airport include Forex, Restaurant, Gift shop, Post office
and Pharmacy. Airlines flying into JRO include Air
Tanzania,

Kenya Airways and Ethiopian
Airlines . Airport transfers are available to or from Kilimanjaro.

Places of interest/tourist
attractions within Arusha
The Goliondoi River divides Arusha
into two distinct regions. To the West of the river is the heavily
built up area centred around the Central Market and the Sheikh Amir Abeid
Memorial Stadium. IN this section, you find Askari monument in
commemoration of the victory of Kagera war between Uganda and Tanzania.
The war is significant for it liberated Uganda from Iddi Amin.
The Uhuru Touch- a flaming touch to remember independence from Britain (
Flame is dead). In this area you also find the Arusha Declaration
Museum with exhibits of history of Federation of Tanzania. Other attractions
include Kilombero and Central Markets.
To the East of the River is
Uzunguni (Civilization). At Uzunguni are government offices, Arusha
International Conference Center (AICC), the hospital (AICC Hospital),
Gymkhana club and the high class residential estate. Another notable
attraction in this section is the Clock tower.
The German Boma (1886) houses the
National National History Museum.
