Getting to Meru Drive from Nairobi takes 4 hours on a well maintained, in fact no potholes these days. However once you take the right turn junction at Makutano watch out for numerous bumps (sometimes un marked). Drive past Embu and in 4-5 Hours you will be in Meru.
