Kigali Serena Hotel>>The
only 5 star Hotel in Kigali
Earlier referred to
Kigali Intercontinental or Hotel Diplomat. Recently it was leased to
Serena and hence the current name. The Hotel has 104 air
conditioned rooms, 2 conference facilities with a
capacity of 600/400 delegates. Other facilities include gymnasium, swimming
pool, lounge bar, pool bar, restaurants, business centre.
Novotel/ Umubano Hotel:
The Novotel is located
in the administrative hill of Kacyiru near the Presidents office (Urugwiro) and
the diplomatic quarter. The hotels is locally referred to as Meridian.
The Novotel Umubano is a 4 star hotel located 3 km from the airport with a total of 97
rooms. It has 13 suites. The facilities include , a business
center featuring WiFi internet, bar and restaurant and various leisure
facilities including an outdoor swimming pool, fitness, aerobics, sauna and
tennis court.
Hotel des Mille Collines (Hotel Rwanda)
The Mille Collines
hotel is world famous for being the location Hotel Rwanda. During the genocide
the hotel served as haven of refuges. The Mille Collines Hotel has 112 exclusive
rooms and executive suites with balcony, all with private bathroom, direct
telephone, satellite and movie channels, mini-bar and PC hook-up. The hotels
conference facilities car cater for 250 delegates. The Panorama restaurant
offers magnificent views of Kigali.
Stipp/ Stipps Hotel,
This one of the new
hotels in Kiyovu. The hotel has wireless internet, swimming pool,
conference facility, steam bath and a gym. The rooms are well appointed
and comfortable.
Kigali has a large

The origins of Kigali as the Capital
city of Rwanda can be traced way back to 1906 when Richard Kandt was appointed
the Resident Governor of Rwanda. He chose Gakingiro as his headquarters
and today his residence cum headquarters( Kandt's House) House has be converted
into a Natural History Museum. The exhibits are still being collected and
displayed. Besides the Richard Kandt's Museum, the Kigali city tour will
visit the following attractions

Kigali city centre with the
old presidents office & the mast of hate Radio Mille Collines. The
oldest section of Kigali is that portion around carte Marteus. This
narrow street is one of the busiest in Kigali.

The Muslim quarter of Nyamirambo.
The Nyamirambo quarter of is mostly inhabited by the Muslims.
Most of the youth centres are to be found here. Evening are lively and
extremely busy.

Kigali geological museum is an interesting place to visit during your free

and Ntarama churches-These are slightly outside the town but they are easily
accessible.
Our
Kigali city tour will visit the Genocide
memorial of Gisozi, Kamp Kigali, the Curio markets, the city centre and the city
market. We usually drive our guests through the Muslim quarter of
Nyamirambo on the way to Ruhengeri. Nyarutarama and the Parliament building can
be seen on your way to/from the airport.

Our real estate department
deals with rental houses. The houses available are villas (country houses)
and apartments. Villas are usually individual houses in half an acre plot,
one story with a lounge, kitchen, several bedrooms and bathrooms, car park
and a servant's quarter. In most cases the garden has a lawn with flowers.
The compounds are usually fully fenced with concrete walls.
You will need to tell us where you
need a house so that we can look up for you. We have houses in Nyarutarama,
Kimironko, Remera, Kacyiru, Kiyovu. Once we agree on the house, then our
office in Kigali will arrange for your to go and view the available properties.
Once satisfied with the property, you will go ahead to sign a lease agreement
and pay for an agreed duration.
Kiyovu is in within the city hill has
apartments and villas for hire. Apartments will go for USD 1500.00 per
month to 2500.00 per month. Likewise the villas.
So far the best place to be for
embassies and NGO's headquarters is Kacyiru. Ambassador Residences and
high class residential houses are located at Nyarutarama. |
