NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK/SAFARI WALK

In
afternoon visit to this superb game park, only eight miles from the city
centre. Lions and Cheetah roam in sight together with a great variety of
plains game. Excellent chance of seeing and photographing Rhinos.
The Nairobi
safari walk trail is the recent recreation of the former Animal Orphanage to
reflect the aspirations of KWS to maintain animals in wild rather than the
traditional caging. This allows one to view and photograph wild
animals as they roam freely in enclosures in the safety of wooden
platforms. The tour returns to the city centre by sundown.
CARNIVORE EXPERIENCE 2
HOURS
Nairobi has many
restaurants offering a variety of cuisine. The popular Carinvore Restaurant
offers a menu which is famous for its succulent game meat roasted over
charcoal.
KAREN
BLIXEN MUSEUM & GIRAFFE CENTRE 1/2 DAY
Karen
Blixen Museum is the former
house of Karen Blixen a talented Danish writer of "Out of Africa
Fame,". It provides a glimpse into the past which is part
of Kenya's
history. Then drive to see and feed Daisy, the famous Rothschild Giraffe and
her family at the beautiful home overlooking the Hills. After tea at the
Giraffe Centre return to Nairobi
in the early evening.
BOMAS
OF KENYA

The Bomas
of Kenya is a cultural recreational centre allowing one to enjoy a diversity
of Kenyan culture giving an insight of the life of the rural Kenya.
A 'boma' is a homestead. Bomas of Kenya also features the

Nairobi NP
has been described as the most unique NP in the world within the precincts
of a metropolitan city. The park boasts a large number of plains games
including Rhino, Lion, Cape buffalo, leopard and cheetah, Maasai giraffes,
Burchell's Zebra, wildebeests, waterbucks, impalas, Thomson's and Grant's
gazelles, warthog. Birdlife is profuse.
Adjacent to
the NP is the Nairobi Nature trail as experience never to be missed.

sumptuous meal at the carnivore is followed entertainment at Bomas of
