Day1

Arrival and transfer to Butare for overnight at Credo Hotel BB   

On the way if time allow, you may visit the reconstructed King's Palace at Nyanza, the former headquarters of the traditional King of Rwanda.

Day2

Have an early morning breakfast and drive to Nyungwe forest to track the colobus.  In the afternoon, have a tour of the lake shore town of Cyangugu.  Across the border is Bukavu in the DR Congo.  Overnight ORTPN Guest HOuse BB   

Day 3

Before breakfast, enter the forest to track Chimps.  Return to Lodge for lunch and drive to Kibuye.  Overnight Kibuye Guest House BB   

Day 4

After breakfast drive to Ruhengeri.  Have a stopover at Gisenyi for lunch and sightseeing.  In the late afternoon, drive to Ruhengeri arriving in time for overnight at Gorilla Nest FB

Day 5

Breakfast + Track the Gorillas.  Lunch Gorilla Nest.  Overnight Gorilla Nest FB

Day 6

Have breakfast and visit the Golden monkeys.  In the afternoon, visit lakes Burela and Ruhondo.  Overnight Gorilla Nest FB

Day 7

Have breakfast and visit the Dian Forsey grave.  In the afternoon drive to Kigali.  Overnight Mille Collines BB.  

The three star Mille Collines Hotel acted as a haven of refugees during the genocide.  All those who sought refuge at the hotel survived to tell the ordeal.  The life at the hotel during this time formed the basis of the award winning film-Hotel Rwanda.

Day 8

Have a city tour including visit to Genocide memorials.  In the afternoon transfer for home flight
